The planning for the 2009 season of club activities is coming together as we send out this first newsletter. There will be the usual potlucks, lobster bake and Hemenway Regatta. We are changing the waterfront schedule to provide sailing lessons throughout the season as well as weekly racing. The intention is to provide more opportunities for lessons and to have more fun with the club’s sailboats. Of course we need your help to make this all work. You can help with setting up the docks or by being an instructor. We need help in terms of labor and donations to fix up the sailboats with new lines and hardware. We need someone to manage the bar if that is more to your liking. There are other opportunities to contribute such as hosting a potluck, serving on committees (lobster bake, nominating, finance, sailing program) or serving on the board or as an officer. If you are not able to volunteer, please consider a $25 donation for the sailboat rigging.
If we don’t have your photograph for your nametag, please send a digital photo to Wren the Vice Commodore and webmaster. If you would like a membership card send a SASE to the PMYC mailing address.
Please contact me or the officers and board members with your ideas, suggestions, questions, or to volunteer. We look forward to seeing you this coming season.
We've made it easy for you to print listings all of upcoming events, just click on latest schedule. It will be updated as new information becomes available.

RULES FOR SAILING PMYC SAILBOATS
The PMYC sailboats are a valuable resource available to all members, and it is important that all members feel free to sail the boats. But in the interest of safety multiple instructors & chase boats will supervise all Sailing School programs. Safety Rules for all other club sailing are as follows:
See the Greetings Page, or for e-mail addresses, the Member's Only Page.
These are some of the folks who will be in touch with you offering opportunities to be involved in club activities with your fellow sailors as the season progresses. They would also welcome hearing from you with program suggestions for the Club.
Note: The PMYC Budget can be found at the bottom of the complete version of this newsletter, available in the Member's Only Section.
